Take road No.30 from Alessandria before turning onto the road for Castellazzo Bormida and Bosco Marengo near Cantalupo.
After having driven back to Casal Cermelli, go south to Portanuova. Just after turn right for Sezzadio.
Return to road no.30 and carry on as far as Cassine and Acqui Terme. To reach Gavi, take the road for Visone, Molare and Ovada and continue onwards through the hills of Lerma and Parodi Ligure to the fortified town.
