The farming center of Basso Monferrato (Lower Monferrato) keeps valuable works such as “L’ultima cena “ (“The Last Supper”) by Moncalvo and the “Nozze di Cana” (“The Marriage in Canaan”) by Niccolò Musso in its San Giulio parish church. In Altavilla (High city), you can visit the Museum of Grappa and the Mazzetti Distillery which collects and exhibits, in its historical rooms in tuff (hard volcanic rock) and bricks, the testaments of distillation strictly tied to the land where the distillation work carried out by the same family has been going on for a good six generations.
