Novara (NO)
Thanks to its geographical position between Turin and Milan, Novara is by nature a cultural crossroads. The city is at once an important centre for chemistry, producing oxides and silicon glass and carrying out research into new materials, and for pharmacological research. It is also home to one of Italy’s most important multimedia publishing groups, DeAgostini. As university city, Novara combines a high quality of life with a wide range of cultural activities, of which the high point is the Festival of Sacred Music, which takes place in Antonelli’s Basilica di San Gaudenzio.
