Armeno (NO)
A town that is a vacation resort with an excellent climate and an enchanting location, thanks to the close proximity of D’Orta Lake, Lake Maggiore, and the summit of the Mottarone. The name Armeno is known throughout the world for its cooks and its waiters, a tradition at least four centuries old. In fact, from this area of Cusio, thousands of people have left for the kitchens, the hotels, and the restaurants of the entire world. In order not to lose the memory of this heritage, you can visit the Museo degli Alberghieri (Museum of Hoteliers) in Armeno, which is a collection –the only one of its kind in the world – where hoteliers, simple cooks, grand chefs, unknown waiters and chefs’ assistants have brought, almost as sacred offerings, memories and pieces of their lives gathered during their wanderings through the world.
