Cities
Cavaglià (BI)
Looking out towards Serra’s Morenica Amphitheater, Cavaglia is the reflection of three identities: Biella, Vercelli, and Canavese. Due to its geographic location, the town has always been a place where people passed through and it was an important center in the spread of Christianity. Many churches testify to the tie between this town and Christianity, from the Parish Church of San Pietro (13th century) to the 18th century Parish Church of San Michele with splendid furnishings and a baptismal font created from the design by the famous Antonelli inside. Another interesting monument is the Rondolino Castle, a modern imitation of a medieval castle and symbol of the town’s prestigious history. The biggest surprise that Cavaglia keeps for visitors is found, in any case, in its landscape. Pleasant strolls among the hills, the uncultivated land and moors of Brianco; the rows of vineyards and orchards elicit emotions and a great deal of serenity.
