Bibiana (TO)
Not too far from Pinerolo, along the border between the province of Turin and the province of Cuneo, at the foot of the Val Pellice hills, Bibiana extends over mostly plains where fruit farms have developed - kiwi and, above all, Golden apples. A farming community with a long history at its back, it has beautiful 18th century buildings overlooking its large Piazza San Marcellino with the market loggias – known as the “town wing” – where the “Cavagne” market takes place and around which horses, mules, and cows were attached to their appropriate rings. In the upper part of the town, on a panoramic knoll, is the castle, today the Villa Castelfiore, where King Vittorio Amedeo II stayed.
