Revello (CN)
Revello is the gateway to Marchesato di Saluzzo and therefore has an extensive fortification system. Even the Castle below is part of this, housing the Town Hall in the one wing remaining intact. In its tower, is the Marquis Chapel with several frescoes depicting the Stories of San Luigi and Santa Margherita, eponym saints of the Marquis Ludovico and Margherita who commissioned them. Not too far from the center, the Abbey di Staffarda rises up; entrusted to the Cistercian monks in the 12th century, it played an important role in blessing the surrounding area, marshy and uncultivated. The abbey complex also includes a cloister, guest quarters, and an area for the covered market.
