Borgo Ticino (NO)
Of medieval origin, the town grew along the Ticino River Valley, south of Lake Maggiore. Borgo Ticino offers the possibility of an interesting itinerary through the surrounding woods that leads to the erratic boulder from the Ice Age called Prea Guzza and continues towards the Bosco Solivo (Solivo Woods), a wonderful panoramic spot overlooking Lake Maggiore and the Alps. On the return trek, the medieval ruins of the Church di San Zeno, the oldest religious structure in Borgo Ticino, deserves a stop.
