Casalino (NO)
The area of Casalino, a farming town in lower Novara, can be proud of its rich heritage of farmsteads, religious structures, and castles. I Strai di Mundini offers, in fact, a series of self-tours more than 30 kilometers long, over farmland where various special varieties of rice – both early and late harvest – are cultivated.
The tours are also interesting from an historical and artistic point of view in that they include farmsteads, oratories, churches, and castles dating back even to the 10th century. Every tour can be taken either on foot or on a bike and, according to the season, will include very diverse and striking aspects of the landscape.
