Pancalieri (TO)
Located on the left bank of the Po River in near the border of the Cuneo province, Pancalieri is mainly an agricultural centre known for its aromatic and medicinal herbs. Menta Piperita, the absolute queen of this land, is distilled locally and regarded by experts as the best on the market. To promote the use and marketing of aromatic essences among the greater public, the major exhibition “Viverbe” is held at Pancalieri in September. A well-preserved mill reminds visitors that until thirty years ago the scenery and economy activity of this place were linked to the course of the Po.
