Cities
Parella (TO)
This town is surrounded by woods and vineyards and grew on a hillside of the glacial amphitheatre. Documents from the XI century describe Parella as a stronghold. Of the ancient defensive structure, only a few sections of the walls and a large circular tower ending in projecting corbels now remain. The current imposing Castle is due to the Lords of Parella, who had it built at the end of the thirteen hundreds, and to the changes and extension works that transformed it into a large complex, with a hundred-and-twenty rooms and three internal courtyards.
