Baveno (VB)
It is possible to find traces of this city over looking Lake Maggiore in the Borromeo Golf in just about every corner of the world. In fact, with the pink granite from its caves, major architectural monuments have been built, such as Paris’ Opera, the monument dedicated to Christopher Columbus in New York, and others in Marseilles, Buenos Aires, and Brema. It is an interesting tourist destination and also quite an alluring place, not just due to its location, but also due to the monumental ensemble created by the church of San Gervasio and San Protasio from the 12th century, the bell tower, the baptistery, the chapel of San Sepolcro, the long portico from Via Cricis built in 1839, and two splendid manors: Villa Fedora and Villa Branca both immersed in a beautiful park.
