Beura Cardezza - Piemonte Feel

Cities

Beura Cardezza (VB)

Part of its territory is included in the National Park of the Val Grande, the largest wild area in Italy. A nature trail which leads to the ancient abandoned village of Bisoggio begins here and passes through the town of Beura, where splendid examples of local architecture can be seen, then rises again along the paved mule trail. For the well-trained trekker, it is possible to continue towards the Alp Pozzolo, where an unattended refuge is always open. Beura owes its name to the traditional stone from Ossola, “beola”, used until the end of ancient times as a construction material and to create everyday tools.
