Under the heading of Helix Pomatia Alpina. From December 4 – 8, Borgo san Dalmazzo will be renewing its appointment with the traditional “Fiera Fredda” (Cold Fair). A very special rendez-vous, this year in its 439th edition, dedicated to all lovers of culinary specialties whose main ingredient is the snail.

Now in its 98th edition, this fair is one of the most important among those at the regional level and beyond. This year, the traditional appointment for commerce and folklore, a celebration of the people and oenological and gastronomic culture of the Langa, presents some special new events, such as the world auction of steer and beef.

Villa Taranto Botanical Gardens

Villa Taranto and its gardens, which look out over Lago Maggiore, have a vast botanical trove that includes about 1,000 plants, which until today had never been cultivated in Italy, and about 20,000 varieties and species of particular botanical importance.

Castello di Costigliole d’Asti

Surrounded by a large park, the castle houses an international cooking school and the annual “asta del Barbera” (“Barbera auction”) which has become a not-to-miss event for fans of quality wine.

Palazzo Callori a Vignale Monferrato

The building, erected during the 15th century, houses Monferrato’s Regional Wine Cellar (Enoteca). The ancient cellars in tuff are still used to store prized wines and grappas.
