Dall’arte di Raffaello a Rembrandt e Goya

For the tenth anniversary of the Fondazione Art Museo, Villa Ponti is hosting an exhibit dedicated to the Europe’s great Master engravers, gathering 250 works of art created in the course of four centuries, from 1450 – 1750. The exposition will be open until May 10, 2009.

Castello di Agliè

This sumptuous home was built, beginning in 1646 following a design by Amedeo di Castellamonte, by Filippo d’Aglie, statesman, literary man, choreographer, and adviser to Madama Reale, on the ruins of an ancient fortress.

Castello di Mazzè

In the ancient underground parts of the medieval castle is the Museo della Tortura (Museum of Torture): tools and methods from the Holy Inquisition. The building is surrounded by a large park with a scenic view looking out over the Canavese.

Castello di Costigliole d’Asti

Surrounded by a large park, the castle houses an international cooking school and the annual “asta del Barbera” (“Barbera auction”) which has become a not-to-miss event for fans of quality wine.
