The immediacy and universality of the shows presented by Fondazione onlus Casa del Teatro dei Ragazzi e Giovani (Non-profit Foundation Children’s and Youth Theatre House) give the opportunity to reach a very heterogeneous audience. Through the language without boundaries of fairy tales, puppet theatre, theatre circus and dance, the rich calendar of TRG involves children and grown-ups, both Italian and foreign. Among the shows presented, those in the calendar of Torino Piemonte Contemporary Arts stand out, such as “Il Giardino Giapponese” (The Japanese Garden) and “Anima Blu” (Blue Soul). Sundays at “Oltreilponte Teatro” are particularly charming, with performances inspired by Gianbattista Basile’s fairy tales: “La Principessa preziosa” (The Precious Princess), “Le tre Corone” (The three Crowns), “Il Principe Nardaniello e la fata Filadoro” (Prince Nardaniello and Filadoro fairy). Also the interesting productions of resident companies at Casa del Teatro, such as Onda Teatro, Dottor Bostik/Unoteatro and Stilema/Unoteatro, should not be missed, together with the traditional appointment with “Il Gioco del Teatro” (The Game of Theatre). Brand new for season 2007-2008 is the creation of La Piccola Accademia del Teatro Ragazzi e dell’Animazione (The Small Academy of Youth Theatre and Animation). Organized in collaboration with Accademia Albertina di Belle Arti di Torino (Albertina Academy of Fine Arts in Torino), Fondazione Tancredi di Barolo (Tancredi Foundation in Barolo) and with the support of Regione Piemonte, it trains the new generations of youth theatre and theatre animation, thus placing Piemonte at the centre of Italian theatre “education”.
