In this place where reading is a pleasure for all five senses, by virtue of its ability to feel and receive impressions produced by external stimuli, numerous readings and scenic representations of books are organised almost every day, as well as meetings with authors and leading figures from the local, national and international cultural community. Located in the historic Circolo degli Artisti (Artists’ Circle) in Palazzo Graneri della Roccia, the Circolo dei Lettori (Readers’ Circle) is a point of reference for authors and readers visiting the city. In addition to the fixed appointments consisting of the Gruppi di Lettura (Reading Groups) and the Saturday Fitness Book, an authentic training ground for the mind, the Circle continuously organises meetings, book presentations, reading-matter for schools, literary aperitifs and a host of other events, all centred on the written and narrated word.
