Pagella Non Solo Rock

The typical and historical Torino music contest addressing emerging bands which include at least 50% of high school students is coming back with a lot of novelties, starting from the professional auditions through which the bands can present their music to Tutors expert in the sector. The formula concerning the selection concerts for the final is also new.
This year the bands will perform live (free entry in Torino and province clubs) together with Italian bands and artists known at national and international level. And then, for the first time, Pagella – Non Solo – Rock totally complies with its name by addressing a kind of music which has not been suitably recognized so far. In addition to the usual music sections (Pop/Rock/Punk, Electronic, Hip Hop), also the musicians from the Academy of Music of Torino, Cover/Tribute Bands, DJs and solo artists can take part in the festival, in the section “Out of Contest”. For the bands reaching the contest final stage, an effective promotion and communication network will ensure visibility and the possibility of confrontation thanks to reviews in national music magazines and specialized websites (Rockerilla), collaborations with radio stations, showcases in the two FNAC centres and a partnership with Casasonica (which is giving the winners two days in the studio). Finally, there is also a contest open to high schools specialized in graphics and communication for the creation of Pagella – Non Solo – Rock 2008 promotional material layout. The first three winners of Pagella – Non Solo – Rock 2008 will take part in eMeRsIoNe Festival 2008 and other festivals/contests in Torino and the province.
