Borgo Medievale

Put together by the Teatro Regio in collaboration with the Borgo Medievale – Fondazione Torino Musei (Torino Foundation of Museums), the exhibit pays homage to the great Franncesco Tamagno, by offering the possibility to admire the stupendous costumes that belonged to the tenor and which were recently acquired by the theater, as well as objects from the stages of his most famous shows. These objects testify to the privileges of an international artist who had a closet for every character he interpreted. Ernani, Otello, Il Trovatore, Aida, Un Ballo in Maschera, Guglielmo Tell, Don Carlo, and many others come back to life in these beautiful costumes and in all of their accessories: swords, helmets, hats, boots, scarves, crowns, necklaces, bracelets, and other 19th century crafted finery.
