Rossa. Immagine e comunicazione del lavoro: 1848/2006
PalaFuksas
from 20.02.2008 to 04.05.2008
Through a well-constructed exhibition itinerary, rich of multimedia and interactive contributions, visitors can experience a journey into space and time, from the very first workers’ associations in the XIX century to the birth of trade unions and parties, up to CGdL and present Cgil. Starting with these milestones of trade union history, the exhibition allows visitors to go through the development of communication aesthetic aspects and work symbols. With “Rossa. Immagine e comunicazione del lavoro: 1848/2006” (Red. Work image and communication: 1848/2006) it is possible to understand this complex evolution, from the domain of materials and fixed images (such as cards, billboards, flags, medals, pictures) which characterized the long period between 1848 and the 1960’s, up to the use of audiovisuals and new information and communication technologies (cinema, television, Internet and the combined use of different media) in the last forty years of history. Under the aegis of the President of the Italian Republic and in collaboration with the associations Centenario Cgil, Torino Città Capitale Europea and Città della Scienza di Napoli, the exhibition will be staged at PalaFuksas in Torino from 20th February to 4th May.
