Questo Mondo è Fantastico. Twenty Years with Guido Carbone

Twenty-eight artists and a book recall the life and work of Guido Carbone, well-loved Torino gallery owner who died prematurely in 2006. The title of the show, Questo Mondo è Fantastico (This World is Fantastic), is not only the title of a 1997 work by Mario Consiglio exhibited during a show that was fundamental in the relationship between the gallery owner and the artist, but mirrors above all the attitude of Guido Carbone toward life and art. The works on exhibit at Palazzo Bricherasio represent a significant selection of the artists who, during a long twenty-year journey, were given space in Guido Carbone’s gallery, from Arienti a Berti, from Bonino to Smith, from Levi to Pisano, to many, many more.
