Melting Plot 2007 - 2008

A tour including Torino, Bari and Rome, each Melting Plot event is a live reading of texts written by young authors qualified at Scuola Holden and by three women writers finalists at Concorso Letterario Nazionale Lingua Madre (Mother Tongue National Literary Contest). Each story is a play written according to the migrants’ point of view on their new life in Italy, thus generating a crossroad of glances and narration of experience much closer to ours than expected. The readings on stage are accompanied by the music of the students attending the most important national schools and by young musicians. At the same time, the same story is told on canvas and screens of artists graduated at the best national Academies.
