Trilogia dell’Automobile
Torino Esposizioni - C.so Massimo D'Azeglio
from 17.11.2007 to 17.12.2008
The Museo Nazionale dell’Automobile (National Automobile Museum) “Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia”, currently closed for restructuring, is presenting in the seat of Torino Esposizioni a great cultural event dedicated to car history and evolution. Trilogia dell’Automobile is divided into three original exhibitions following one another from November 2007 to December 2008. The first is “Novecento” (Twentieth century) (17 November 2007 – 30 March 2008), an evocative walk among vehicles which are symbols of a past still alive and present, essential for the automotive evolution which has led to the current technological and stylistic productions. Starting with a French carriage of the XVII century we get to a Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, which in 2006 toured the United States of America.
“Velocità” (Speed) (19 April – 31 August 2008), second exhibition of the “trilogy”, presents a selection of very fast contemporary and ancient vehicles, record cars which have raced on the tracks of the most famous circuits in the world. The protagonists of the last exhibition, “Dream” (September – December 2008), are the cars best representing the history of style and design. Coming from all over the world, they represented and still represent the dimension of “Dream” that public imagination has attributed to cars. These three exhibitions tell, each from a different point of view, the recent past, the current years and the future of the car.
