Una stanza tutta per sé

Visitors will find themselves immersed in environments able to stimulate the various senses and the selected works hark back the conditions desired by every artist in order to feed his/her own creativity in a way to create a singular contact with people. So, the “stanza per se” (“room of her own”) becomes both a place that allows the artist to set up ideal conditions in order to express his/her personal search as well as a place within which each person is welcomed to have an exclusive vision and is stimulated to personally develop the ultimate meaning of each work. Bringing together about twenty artists, stars of the international scene, around this theme, la exhibit presents forty works and large installations, created from the 1960’s until today; some of which were created just for this exhibit, while others are being shown for the first time, and still others are considered historical pieces from the artists’ production. Showing their work are: Franz Ackermann, Stefano Arienti, Massimo Bartolini, Alan Charlton, Jan Dibbets, Olafur Eliasson, Marisa Merz, Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen, Giulio Paolini, Giuseppe Penone, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Paola Pivi, Pipilotti Pist, Ettore Spalletti, Marijke van Warmerdam, Francesco Vezzoli, and Lawrence Weiner.
