The Turin Marathon 2008 returns to the route of its origins, running through the metro area communities of: Moncalieri, Nichelino, Beinasco, Orbassano, Rivalta, Rivoli, Collegno, and the very fast Corso Francia. The start and finish are at Piazza Castello. The event, which includes marathon runners of all ages in competitive and non-competitive races, represents not only a wonderful moment in sports, but also a cultural moment. The marathon’s route, in fact, gives runners the opportunity to reach and get to know several of the places, events, and people that have marked the history of Piemonte as well as all of Italy. The Turin Marathon will be broadcast live on Rai-Tre.
