Again this year, the festival’s program is filled with initiatives: Festivalfilm, the cinema event dedicated to the mountain, returns alongside a new addition, Festivalteatro, a review at the Teatro Officina Residenza Multidisciplinare with shows connected to the mountain theme. A good deal of space is being given to culture and literature with Festivalincontri overseen by Fredo Valla with the participation of major authors and scholars of the alpine area. Games, animation, reading performances, didactic training, and a deeper understanding of the culture and nature of Cuneo’s valleys are the goals of Festivalscuola. The conventions are very appealing, with the principle themes this year being “Le strade militari alpine” (“Alpine Military Routes”) and “Il ritorno del lupo” (“The Return of the Wolf”).There will be no lack of music with concerts by the “Marlevar”, by the “A fil de ciel”, and by the main choral groups from the province. Plus, for the 50th anniversary of the Gruppo Speleologico delle Alpi Maritime (The Maritime Alps Speleological Group), “Speleologia non-stop”, an entire day dedicate to the world of caves and speleological activities.
