In George Cukor’s films, women are the starting point for every thought, the origin of visual experimentation, the movement of each story and of every life. One of the most original directors out of Hollywood, Cukor created a completely personal style that seemed to sprout from words that stayed there as columns to support a composite world, made up of women and the looks they gave. The director’s sensitivity made it so that his films entered into areas considered “experimental”, closed in between a certain impassive dignity in a look and the need to break through the embankment, to take passion all the way.
