Diana Baylon, an eclectic ‘design artist’ from the 1960s to today, a friend of Lucio Fontana, Alberto Burri, and Bruno Munari, has experimented flight and speed with fearless sensitivity. With geometric scores, lights, rhythms, over- and under-stressed surfaces she has ranged between many techniques and materials: from jewellery to tapestry, painting to sculpture, gold to wool, aluminium to stone, plexiglass to marble, and paper to words.
