The show takes us on a trip through the irreverent, taboo-breaking side of design from the ‘60's to now: subversive creations which set, from the start, their individual ‘landmarks' in the urgent, vital region of emotion, irony and the ‘alternative' areas of the arts and commerce.
The journey unfolds between designer objects and productive realities which have expressed, in different ways, ideas with a ‘landmark' quality able to bring out the DNA of the artefact, surreal or taboo-breaking but, rather than destructive in intent, experienced as cultural alternatives to the banal, the shallow, the clichéd, the familiar idols of 'the pack'.
