The exhibition illustrates the work of Clementina Corte (1850-1935), a photographer-director who interpreted ahead of the times the role of women in a small community, Pettinengo in the Biella area, far from the clamour and changes of major cities. The exhibition documents her ability to depict in images a cross-section of the society of the period, recounting the transformations brought by the industrial revolution. Co-ordinated by Andrea Trivero.
