We can now explore the territory, the culture and the historical/artistic heritage of the Valsusa while at the same time enjoying the food, thanks to the food-and-wine “GustoValsusa” (Delicious Susa Valley) festival. Numerous towns and villages in the province of Torino will take part in this six-month event (Vaie, Rubiana, Chiusa San Michele, Borgone, Chianocco, Avigliana, Bruzolo, Almese, Bussoleno, Condove, Villar Focchiardo, San Giorio and Caprie), which will be an exciting opportunity for us to put together gourmet cuisine and tourism. The delicious and varied menu of the event includes: Vaie’s canestrelli (waffles), Avigliana’s ice-creams, Mocchie’s potatoes, Condove’s toma (local cheese), Rubiana’s raspberries, Chianocco’s bread, Chiusa’s biscotti di meliga (corn biscuits), Villar Focchiardo and San Giorio’s chestnuts, and Caprie’s apples. All this will be obviously accompanied by the finest local wines.
