This tribute, which proposes ten films from Israeli contemporary cinema, is being inaugurated on Thursday May 8, 2008 at 9:00 pm with the screening of the film “Disengagement” directed by Amos Gitai, who will meet with the public after the screening. “Lo Stato delle Cose. Il Cinema Israeliano Oggi” is helpful in understanding tension and urgency, to approach themes, characters, actors and directors as well as to understand the difficulties and discover that Israeli cinema as well is a sensitive and discreet eye for an in-depth observation of a world and its microcosms.
