The first international Barberart art competition takes place at Nizza Monferrato in association with the exhibits related to the appointment “Nizza è Barbera” which has become a tradition by now. The event, which has the Boario Forum as its location is planning on a Figurative Art Competition (painting, photography, graphic art, digital art) inspired by themes, freely interpreted, from natural environment, drawings, and landscapes pertinent to Barbera culture in the Piemonte/ Asti territory. Nizza è Barbera, an exhibit that gets its name from the double merit of the word Nizza, intended as place name of the city as well as well as the name of the area below Barbera d’Asti, brings winemakers from all over the region into the streets of its old town centre to display their wines and offer wine tasting.
