Weekend with the Black Grouse
Oasi di Sportina

The black grouse chooses dawn to exhibit his entire repertoire of dance and wooing, a love “parade” that takes place in the Oasi di Sportinia at 1,700 to 2,200 metres. The program of the “Alla scoperta del gallo forcello” (Discovering the Black Grouse), symbolic animal of these mountains schedules a two-day excursion with departure from Sauze on Saturday afternoon with transfer to the Ciao Pais lodge. Dinner, an evening encounter with slide show, overnight stay and breakfast is included in the price. The following morning, forest rangers will attend the spectacular exhibit of the grouse and lead the hikers all the way to Cappella di Broussailes (Chapel of Our Lady of Brousailles) where it is possible to observe the Vallone del Rio Nero and Monte Fraiteve.
