From lutes to guitars, spinnets to harpsichords, this festival dedicated to the family of instruments that can played pizzicato (plucked) embraces a musical repertoire that spans from the Baroque era to modern day. The 2008 edition of Tastar de Corda reserves special attention to Baroque music, regarding the lute, guitar and vihuela as main features of Italian, Spanish and German music. Classical guitar takes its place in chamber music. Among the festival’s guests: Maurizio Colonna and the memorable Venegoni & Co band.
