For the past sixteen years on the last Sunday of May, the cellars affiliated with the Movimento Turismo del Vino have opened their doors to the public in support of the propagation of oenological culture through direct contact with wine enthusiasts. The circuit of Cantine Aperte features over 800 cellars throughout Italy and involves several other European and non-European countries, all of which share a strong vocation for wine. Accompanied by an ample series of initiatives of gastronomic and artistic culture, the festival is particularly loved by the younger public. It’s a chance to meet winemakers in Piemonte, glass in hand, from Langhe e Roero, Monferrato, Canavese, Coste della Sesia and the hills of the Novara province.
