Paesaggio ZerO
Cascina Le Vallere farmstead, quarry area at Carignano, confluence area of the Orco-Po rivers at Chivasso, fortress of Verrua Savoia near Crescentino
from 30.05.2008 to 06.07.2008
The “Paesaggio Zer0 - interventi di arte contemporanea sul territorio del Parco del Po Torinese” contemporary art project takes its cue from the environment and proposes a new way to “live” the territory by experiencing art with initiatives bringing people closer to the park. Among these “Walkscapes”, organised by the Osservatorio del Paesaggio: walks that become experiences of acquaintance with these places (the well-equipped area of the Cascina Le Vallere farmstead, headquarters of the Ente Parco in Moncalieri, quarry area at Carignano, confluence area of the Orco-Po rivers at Chivasso, the fortress ruins of Verrua Savoia near Crescentino), in which the artwork of Laura Pugno, Andrea Caretto/Raffaella Spagna, Alessandro Quaranta, Massimiliano and Gianluca De Serio can be viewed. Their pieces were selected in reference of their artistic research regarding the features of the project. The contemporary art installations inaugurate the first Biennial of the Osservatorio del Paesaggio dei Parchi del Po e della Collina torinese (Landscape Observatory of the Parks along the Po river and the Torino hills).
