The illustrated journey unravels presenting a vast selection of images and objects kept in the museum’s archives. Posters can be admired: those of the most famous mountain resorts, movie playbills and many magazines from the past whose covers reveal the infinite nuances of a female universe. There is a large selection of photographs narrating work, emancipation, love, sports and mountain climbing, all of which in the past were only granted to women on rare occasions. Today these activities see women as main characters right beside men. Aside from photography, cinema is also present to emphasize these themes, with various video stations and a tribute to the stars of movies that are set in the mountains, chosen among the thousands of titles kept in the Cineteca Storica e Videoteca del Museo (Historic Film collection and Video Library of the Museum).
