The third edition of the Festival delle Colline Saluzzese (Festival of the Hills of Saluzzo), inaugurated by the Orchestra da Camera di Genova highlights the natural as well as the productive features of the hills in this territory. The Festival, whose goal is to enhance the value of the treasures that the environment offers - such as its agricultural and handicraft production and its valuable architectural legacy - and bring them to the attention of its guests. Among this year’s initiatives: conventions, classical music concerts (with the participation of the Ensemble of the Orchestra Nazionale della Rai and of the Teatro Regio of Torino), and exhibits in the various towns involved in the project. At the end of the Festival, on June 28th, the Orchestra Filarmonica del Piemonte, directed by Maestro Gianmaria Griglio, will perform Giuseppe Verdi’s opera “Nabucco”.
