“Gran Tour” is the new historic-cultural route aimed at discovering Torino and Piemonte, representing the fusion of two proofed events such as “Rivelazioni barocche” (Baroque Revelations) and “Torino…e oltre” (Torino…and beyond). The guiding theme is Design in its total expression.Project and relationship between form and function, in accordance to Torino 2008 World Design Capital. The itineraries, aimed at the discovery of aspects of the territory which are often unusual, will be developed in two sessions. The first runs from April to June and the second from August to November. They both offer a new insight into the historic, artistic, architectural and natural heritage of this region while giving an in-depth look at themes like baroque design in Torino, green areas, Antonellis’s brilliant work, the rebirth of Via Artom, glass, fabrics, ceramics and reinforced concrete at the service of art.
