This initiative by the Regione Piemonte and the Circolo dei Lettori reading guild is bringing an expanded idea of “reading” to several architectural and environmental places that are among the most suggestive in the Piemonte territory. The idea is to blend culture and tourism, tempting not only tourists but native Piemontese as well to break away from the confines of Torino in order to come into contact with charming places like Biella, Avigliana, Susa, Stresa and Arona on the Lago Maggiore. The schedule of this festival - which mixes theatre, literature, story telling and concert - is packed with big names: from Stefano Benni to Marco Paolini, from Arturo Brachetti to Godano and his Marlene Kunz, and many more. All performances have a €5 admission fee with the exception of the closing one in Biella with Baustelle, which is free of charge. For the engagements in Arona, Avigliano and Susa a shuttle service to and from Torino is planned.
