No piece of furniture has attracted the attention of designers, architects and artists more than the chair. The chair is intimately linked to the form of the human body: with its arms, legs, feet and back it is the very representation of the body. It has played a key role in the history of design, becoming almost an icon: from an everyday object to the symbol of an artistic event. For the "Dimensions of Design" exhibition, 100 miniatures of seats exemplify the role assumed by design in the industrial production process. The chairs, exact reproductions of the originals on a scale of 1:6, are presented on pedestals, with an atmospheric installation. The exhibition is accompanied by 40 panels with photographs, original designs and a time-line.
