Changing the Change is an international conference on the role and potential of research in design in the transition towards sustainability. Its purpose is to help to redirect the direction of the rapid and profound, but unfortunately highly unsustainable changes underway in society and industry towards sustainability. To do this, it presents visions and proposals for more sustainable lifestyles and forms of production, and the design tools needed to put them into practice as is emerging from design research in various regions of the world. These presentations are integrated and enriched with speeches by experts and designers of international renown. In terms of both content and organisation, the conference is closely linked to the International Summer School "Designing Connected Places". The Conference is a "zero environmental impact" event.
