With a public of 800,000 people in 4 years, international artists and innovative productions, Traffic Torino Free Festival is one of the most important European events of super-cultured contemporary and rock music. The free concerts involve numerous prestigious locations in the metropolitan area, from the park that hosts the main stage to the courtyard of Palazzo Carignano, the Mole Antonelliana, the Po, and the post-industrial and post-Olympic areas symbolic of the new Torino. In the 2008 edition, in addition to concerts and DJ sets, electronic and world music, the programme includes meetings with other forms of contemporary culture: literary readings, art and design exhibitions, rock film retrospectives, and sound tracks to masterpieces of silent cinema.
