A trip that touches the Sacri Monti (Sacred Mountians) of Crea, Varallo, Belmonte, Oropa, Orta, Domodossola and Ghiffa. Every stop traces an original tour route, putting the history, art, landscape, traditions and legends of each of these places to use. These are cities that have been included on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Cities. The project involves scholars, musicians and young authors along with the Music Conservatories of Alessandria, Cuneo, Novara and Torino. At the same time, the Photo exhibit “Luoghi e vie del pellegrinaggio, i Sacri Monti del Piemonte e della Lombardia” is open in the Piemonte capital. The exhibition is being proposed once again at the Circolo dei Lettori reader’s guild until July 11, 2008 after its first showing in 2004 for the occasion of the Holy Year at Santiago de Compostela.
