Teatro a Corte is a big, collective party of artists, operators, audiences and places of extraordinary historic-artistic value. Capable of creating a solid entwining between territory and live performance in a game of reciprocal valorisation, the festival is a chance for some of Europe’s most important theatrical companies to meet, but it is also a useful tool for getting to know and appreciate the historic and architectural heritage of the Piemonte region. Based on a widened view of theatre – that goes beyond just words to explore shapes, gestures, figures, dance, visuals, lights, music, video, clown, nouveau cirque and plastic arts – attracting the attention of artists from different geographic and artistic realities. They will be presenting shows created expressly for the Festival and its excellent location for the most part. The 22 days of Teatro a Corte with 35 shows and over 70 performances will be presenting great names like Josef Nadj, Décor Sonore, The World Famous, Jérôme Thomas, as well as a showcase for this territory’s finest creativity.
