Filled with prestigious names, the calendar of events of the 2008 Torino World Music Meeting is an appointment that is bringing the best of International ethnic music to the Mole. On Wednesday July 2, Malian singer Rokia Traoré returns to Torino’s stage. On Thursday July 17th, it’s acclaimed Venezuelan artist Oscar D’Leon’s turn. D’Leon is one of the major representatives of Afro-latino music. On July 24th, there will be time dedicated to music from the Balkans with Macedonian diva Esma Redzepova and on Tuesday the 29th, with the wild sounds of Emir Kusturica and his No Smoking Orchestra. Furthermore, for the rest of the month there are no lack of dates with Italian groups, starting with Daniele Sepe and the Orchestra of Porta Palazzo.
