Festival dei Laghi

An event of an itinerant nature, the Festival dei Laghi is taking place in six different places: Meina (Piazza del Comune), Mergozzo (Lakeside), Miasino (Parco di Villa Nigra), Momo (Theatre), Verbania-Intra (Parco Arena) and Omegna (Lakeside). The festival’s playbill is taking the wealth and complexity of dance into account by proposing shows that range from contemporary forms of expression to the virtuosity of the tango and flamenco. The festival opens with Matteo Levaggi’s new creation “Trilogia” with the Balletto Teatro di Torino dance company, to then continue with the “Di Terra e di Altro” show presented by the Točnadanza company and with “La Voz del Cuerpo” by the Italian-Spanish Flamenco Lunares. Closing the festival is the show-encounter “Sulle Vie del Tango” by Elisa Vaccarino is an evening dedicated to Giuseppe Verdi, with Maestro Rodolfo Cardellicchio at the piano and the dancers of the Teatro Ensemble on stage with the participation of actor Franco Prunotto and singer Laura Bonfante.
