The calendar of events filled with initiatives for the months of July and August is what is turning on this summer in Piemonte. The proposals come on after the other, ready to meet all the demands of even the most exigent public beginning with music: the tango, popular melodies and Caribbean sounds of Un’estate in musica at Asti, the Alessandria Blues Festival or Estate all’Arena at Verbania all offer moments of entertainment, fun and gatherings together with the Estate Novarese appointments. Being crossed by the magic of the Tour de France, the capital city of la Granda will be capturing the attention of sports fans, but the Culture dal Mondo (Cultures from around the world) Sundays, dedicated to ethnic music, cinema and dance will appeal to other fans as well. For those who want to enjoy sports without giving up culture, the city of Vercelli proposes “Un tuffo tra i libri” (A dive among books), with the opening of book reading and lending centres at the public pools. For those who prefer relaxation alongside cultural events can find a solution to what they are seeking on the Biella Estate playbill with exhibits, excursions to the Oropa valley, conferences on the Sacred Mount, encounters and workshops open even to children. Until August 31st, furthermore, the Biennale di Alessandria offers a glimpse of our contemporary state with the video-photographic exhibit “Shapes of Time”.
