Alessandria Blues Festival

It’s time for the blues in Alessandria, for eight Thursday evenings, all of which are strictly free of charge, dedicated to quality performance and quality music in the courtyard of Palazzo Cuttica. On stage July 24th, Jamaican musician Roy Young, returning from his successful Israeli Tour is ready to plunge into Europe’s major festivals with his Band. It’s Andy J. Forest’s turn on Thursday the 31st: this musician is a vocalist and harmonica player whose talent is being recognised all over the world (he can proudly list collaborations with B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughan among his list of achievements). In August: on the 7th the date is with Sandra Hall & Gnola Blues Band’s Chicago Blues, on the 14th with the burning notes of pianist Matthew Lee. Gran finale on Thursday the 28th with a jazz wrap entrusted to the Paolo Sommelieri sextet on stage at the Alessandria Jazz Club.
